Big things really do come in small packages, and a perfect example of this is the Pomeranian. As fiercely loyal and protective as they are loving and gregarious, these lion-hearted little dogs have won the hearts of many. They were not always "little," and they retain their big-dog heritage today.

I am a small breeder, striving for happy, healthy dogs that come close to the breed standard. Occasionally, I will let them go to a suitable show or companion home. Please feel free to contact me if you are looking or if you have questions or comments.

I found my first Pomeranian, Bandit, when I moved to Birmingham, AL, in 1998 to start optometry school. Admittedly, I had never been much of a "dog person," but the second Bandit ran up to me I knew I had found a friend for life. I became more involved in the breed a couple of years later when, by chance, I overheard Dr. Cheryl Jackson (Glen Iris) talking about a couple of show prospects she had for sale. I had not known it, but Cheryl worked doing research in the building which I performed my Masters research.

I ended up acquiring "Duchess" from Cheryl and began showing her soon after. Cheryl got me started and taught me a lot about care, grooming, handling, and even allowed me to co-own two beautiful "Evan" kids so that I could gain experience in the show ring. My first time in the ring with O'Riley (Glen Iris Castle Knight), we got a Group 4, and Fiona (Ch. Glen Iris Castle in The Sky) was my first champion. In going to shows around the country, I have met many breeders and handlers, not only in Poms, who have been kind in sharing their knowledge. To all of you, thank you.

It is often said that education ends after high school or even college. On the contrary, I continue to learn daily- from the dogs, about the dogs, from the people in dogs. It is fascinating and, at times, difficult and disheartening, but when I see the smiling faces of my little Poms, it is all worth it.
